We're on a mission to show fellow travelers and Puerto Rico what sustainable tourism truly means! Find us on INSTAGRAM! We offer eco-conscious lodging decorated with LOCAL AUTHENTIC vintage/repurposed/salvaged furniture and LOCAL AUTHENTIC Puerto Rican art while being an active supporting member in our community. A portion of our proceeds goes directly back into the community through donations to food banks, youth program, public education campaigns, and local business partnerships! You will be indirectly be a "volunteer" making a difference in Combate Beach by staying with us! You'll never feel trapped when you stay at the Borikén Eco Lodge like condos can make you feel. Our rental includes access to enjoy our giant open space for your entire group. We have plenty of room to hang out, set up a volleyball net, throw the frisbee, lay out, or just read a book under our shaded patio. Cooking is fun and open with us. We provide 2 enormous natural charcoal grills for you to use and 1 jumbo 3-burner energy efficient gas stove all located outside. We also include the gas for you to use too. Our open kitchenettes are stocked with the exact necessities you might need for a beach meal: reusable plates & cups, coffee maker, energy efficient refrigerator & microwave, kitchen utensils, chef knives, pots, pans, and bbq utensils. We even have the basics like spices, dish soap, towels, and coffee filters. There is a Brita water filter so you don't have to waste plastic bottles in to the garbage. Refill your reusable container as much as you'd like! Our repurposed dining room tables were locally sourced from a local merchant in Cabo Rojo. Perfect in their own way. Our living rooms are bright, open, and breezy. It's accented with modern, energy efficient fans & LED lighting, as well as, lots of unique Puerto Rican art & culture. It's amazing! The infinite fresh air sea breeze makes the room like a cooler. Also, all of our windows are protected with screens to help keep pesky bugs out. These are 2 well sized units with multiple beds in each. There are 6 cieling fans and 4 floor fans to keep you cool too. Just the right amount of space for relaxation. Each room is full of classic Puerto Rico with its style. They're cooled with energy effcient fans & LED lighting too. Our bathrooms are gorgeous modern design & eco-friendly as possible. Everything inside conserves water and energy to minimize your footprint. The showers are clean, bright walk-in "Ultra Low Flow" (ULF) rain shower. Our lights are brighter than the sun & LED efficient. Our toilet uses "Dual Flush Technology" to minimize excess water waste. Our sink is a gorgeous modern design that uses a ULF faucet recreating washing your hands under a natural cascade. Even our septic utilizes natural microorganisms to manage waste. Most importantly, you can be sure when nature calls that you're not excessively polluting our priceless ocean or surrounding communities. The casa also includes areas for you to dry beach clothes, separated bins for recycling/compost/garbage, and tons of space for you to do whatever you want to do on your vacation.
