Afurada is a traditional fishing village south of the River Douro in Porto, a little way west of the port wine lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia. Most come to sample the superb fresh fish for lunch or dinner in numerous small restaurants throughout Afurada. There are other reasons to make the short hop from the crowded streets of Ribeira north of the Douro.
The freshness of the sardines and dourada (Gilthead seabream), brought just a few yards from the fishing boats to the charcoal grills, attracts most visitors to Afurada.
The property is easily accessible by car. The area has only a few buses, although they are not so close.
Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is an 18-minute drive from the property.
This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before checking into the property. Check-in can be done from 2 PM, pending availability and confirmation.
Once a reservation is confirmed, guests are requested to complete a guest registration form following the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal.
There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at minimum.
Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€.
For the first days, we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag.
Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys, or service to open the door during your stay).
Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee.
Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).
