Living on the water is ideal for adventurers who enjoy water activities, wildlife, & sunsets. The views of the water and mangroves are spectacular. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION. LIVING ON A BOAT MIGHT NOT BE RIGHT FOR YOUR GROUP.
The houseboat has a roomy living/dining and kitchen area. The "master" bedroom is surrounded by windows and separate from the living area. The second bedroom at the other end of the boat is low-ceilinged and cozy with 2 "almost queen" beds. There is plenty of outdoor deck space. You will love the top deck with a table and chairs for sunning, dining or watching sunsets.
In the water around your boat you can look down and see fish, stingrays, horseshoe crabs, starfish and an occasional turtle swimming by. You can swim right next to your boat.
There is a Jetski rental place near by with great prices and the boat is a 10 minute drive to Duval street.
The boat is anchored between Fleming Key and Dredger Key off the middle of Key West island.
This is an incredible and unique Key West experience but it is not right for everyone -You will be anchored in a channel, not at a dock. We provide kayaks so you go explore the surrounding mangroves and nearby waterfront restaurants and bars. The boat offers modern accommodations but no air conditioning. Solar power runs the refrigerator, lights and fans but cannot support AC, hot water, or electric appliances.
When you arrive, we will meet you in New Town, Key West and drive you and your supplies ( in a small boat) to the houseboat. So bring groceries/drinks with you.
IMPORTANT facts about staying on this boat:
There is no A/C; we have fans.
There is no hot water.
There is a small propane burner stove, no microwave.
There are no electric outlets, only USB ports to charge phones.
No toilet paper is allowed in the toilets, there is a trash can in both bathrooms.
During your stay, you will use kayaks to get ashore.
If you lose a kayak there will be a fee of $400
