Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The room and bathroom was clean and the hosts friendly. We were very happy that we were allowed to keep the car on the drive even after we should have checked out which was really helpful and kind. The area was quiet overnight and the house warm.

Negative: Location was very run down and there was a lot of rubbish and bottles, an armchair and lots of broken glass in the immediate vicinity, and we weren’t very happy walking back at midnight, but there didn’t seem to be anyone around and nobody was causing any trouble. We were worried the car might be broken into even on the drive but it was fine too. It made things a little awkward that we couldn’t communicate with the hosts in English very easily and had to email their son every time we had a question, and the bedroom was too hot overnight. The pillows and mattress could have been softer as they were a little hard.
