This superbly located family home was redesigned by award winning architects and featured in the 'Sunday Times' Magazine. Although stylish, the emphasis is still very homely and child friendly (we live here most of the year). From an unusually light and spacious living room, sliding glass doors open out onto a courtyard with outdoor dining with deluxe barbeque.
The rear of the coach house opens out onto a private cobbled mews. There is one double bedroom with an ensuite luxury bathroom and two further bedrooms (one large single bed and one king size bed). The Grade II listed townhouse is set in a conservation area of Georgian London and whilst very quiet, the busy and vibrant neighbourhoods of Islington and Clerkenwell are just five minutes away, offering theatres, cinemas, a fantastic range of shops, bars and restaurants. With Kings Cross tube also only a few minutes walk away this is the ideal hub for almost anywhere in London.

Summary: We ended a three week trip at this property and found it a great base from which to explore the London area. Due to a scheduling change, we stayed in the upstairs apartment rather than the garden apartment. We added a lot of stairs, for which we were well compensated by an outstanding view of London from the dining patio. The spaces were fairly small but comfortable and we had all that we needed. Check in was handled personally and was very easy; check out was equally simple. The neighborhood is splendid, chock full of great restaurants and near useful transport. The house is on a quiet street, but turn a couple of corners and you're in the thick of things. We had a great time.
