Summary: We stayed for 9 nights at Villa Belle Plage and really enjoyed our stay. All the information we received from Bert in advance was useful and relevant and helped us to plan our stay. Bert booked our hire car and it was ready and waiting as we stepped out of the airport doors. He also printed out our ferry tickets for a trip to La Digue (a definite must) and took a message from a restaurant we were trying to get in touch with. Such a lovely gentleman! The Villa is beautifully situated on a quiet beach not far from Anse Georgette, another stunning beach. The winds were coming in quite strongly most of the time we were there and bringing in some seaweed so we often swam elsewhere on Praslin but always came home for sundowners at sunset! There are several local grocery shops you can walk to and we ate in as well as dined out (the villa is well-stocked with cooking utensils). Praslin is a beautiful island and we found lots to do. We visited both Vallée de Mai and Fond Ferdinand nature trails (you can get a ticket online to cover both.) We also took Bert’s recommendation for a day out by boat to Curieuse and St Pierre for giant tortoises and snorkelling. I thoroughly recommend Villa Belle Plage.
