Summary: When we arrived on a Friday the AC was out in the main living area and there was no water in the shower. The rooftop water tank appeared to be leaking onto and over the roof splashing down in front of the bedroom door. We contacted the host and after a couple of wasted hours were told that nobody could look at the problems until Monday. The host offered to let us cancel the reservation which we did. As it was now later in the day we ended up at a hotel around the corner and we had to give our groceries away as we couldn’t now use them. I eventually did get a refund after a bit of prodding, but was then told by the host that we hadn’t properly cancelled and we were still going to be out other fees we had paid to stay at the property. A previous reviewer a week or so earlier had also mentioned the AC being out and being part of the reason for their leaving the property. In one of the cupboards in the kitchen area I noticed a replacement shower faucet assembly so it seems that someone may have known there was an issue with the shower but not gotten around to fixing it prior to our arrival. The property itself has a bit of an unusual floor plan - the only bathroom is accessed through the bedroom which is a building separate from the rest of the unit. The AC in the bedroom was working, but the bedroom had a bit of a musty smell. Nothing too horrible, a similar odor to many budget motel rooms I’ve stayed in.
