Welcome to our island home!
You will be welcomed to a spacious front patio, which opens into the living room. The fully equipped and recently updated kitchen leads to a comfy family room, complete with 55" TV, WI-Fi, and Cable. Comfortable seating the large sectional and comfortable chairs. Downstairs is complete with a washer/dryer and full bathroom.
Upstairs, you will find a sweet reading nook with a door to the upstairs balcony - a perfect spot for early morning coffee in the sun! There are two bedrooms, the front bedroom sleeps two in twin beds with a window air conditions, and back bedroom sleeps two in a queen with a split unit. Both bedrooms and upstairs hallway have ceiling fans. There is also a full bath shared by both bedrooms.
The complex has a center courtyard with seating, a covered shelter and a half-basketball court.
You are less than a minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico! While the shoreline has changed a bit post Hurricanes Irma and Maria in September 2017, it is still a the perfect example of what Puerto Rico has to offer.
The town of Luquillo as a number of small restaurants and coffee shops - Boardriders, La Fonda Gourmet, and El Flamboyan to name a few. You can walk to the town Plaza, and to groceries, pharmacies and fast food. It is a short drive down Rt 3 to the east to Fajardo and a bigger shopping center. A short drive west on Rt 3 brings you to the entrance to El Yunque - the fabulous rain forest.

Summary: Though the pictures and description are mostly accurate, our stay was less than ideal.To begin, the hosts were apologetic and very accommodating when we raised issues about the space. Also, the check-in process was simple and the location was central to many activities on the eastern end of the island.As far as the actual space was concerned, it left a lot to be desired. Neither bathroom had been cleaned before our arrival. General wear-and-tear/grime was also clearly visible. The rest of the house seemed relatively clean, save for the kitchen sink which had old meat stuck under the drain stopper. The hosts refunded us a day's cost for the inconvenience. Many appliances were visibly worn and/or dirty and did not work as they should (washer, coffee makers, electric kettle, etc.). The ACs worked great. Plenty of towels avail (bath and beach) but of two beach chairs, one is broken.The hosts detail issues with shower water temperature in their handbook.With regard to the location, the home is steps from a beach, but the water is closed for safety. The closest open beach is Luquillo, 5 min Drive, which is gorgeous. It is also close to the kioskos, as well as the ferry to culebra and a short drive to el yunque. There are several bakeries, restaurants, bars, and grocery stores nearby as well.If you're not planning to hangout in the space, this is a fine place to stay; If you are, or prefer clean and/or updated digs, maybe look elsewhere.
